Aventi CEO Named New Board Member for NAWBO Columbus

We are pleased to announce Aventi Enterprises CEO, Deonna Barnett, and her recent appointment to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Columbus Chapter as Vice President of Programming.


The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is a national organization with local chapters across the country that propels women entrepreneurs into economic, social, and political spheres of power worldwide. The organization started in 1975 and currently is the fastest growing segment of the United States economy.


Pre-COVID-19, NAWBO offered in-person events for women providing topics such as strategy, attracting new clients, financial wellness, and essential business ethics. Currently, all events are offered online. The organization has many resources for women business owners including public policy, access to capital, a member directory for networking, exclusive membership discounts with major retailers, best practice sharing, and corporate partner support.


NAWBO Columbus meets monthly to connect members and guests with inspiring speakers and to provide networking opportunities. The Columbus Chapter is also known for its annual Women's Leadership Conference and other special events.


As Vice President of Programming, Barnett will be charged with selecting speakers and programming for both Monthly Luncheons and Candid Conversations as well as facilitating Mix & Mingle events.
