Aventi Enterprises Celebrates 2022 Cohort Graduates

Updated: Apr 17, 2023

Aventi Enterprises is proud to celebrate the classes of 2022 Business Planning for Profitability Accelerator. 56 businesses signed up with hopes of preparing to meet with potential investors and lenders who want to see a business plan before considering funding. In the Business Planning for Profitability 9-Week Accelerator, entrepreneurs learn the process of building their business plans and preparing their pitches. 30 participants completed the program and walked the stage at graduation.

The four cohorts (Spring, Summer, Fall and Late Fall) began in the spring of this year, and all four cohorts graduated together on Dec 15, 2022, equipped with the essential tools necessary to pitch their businesses for funding. Aventi Enterprises partnered with Rev1 Ventures to provide minority business owners in Central Ohio an opportunity to have an advantage, by funding the cohort.

In addition to the education opportunities received, there was a pitch competition at the end of each cohort, where the winners were awarded a $1000 grant. 1 winner was selected from each cohort to receive the grant. The winners of the 2022 Pitch Competition were:

  • Spring 2022: Alicia Jenkins Hill

  • Summer 2022: Tyesha Jones

  • Fall (Zora's House) 2022: Markita Cumberlander
