Columbus, OH — The Columbus Chaos, Ohio's premier women's full-tackle football team, is gearing up for an exciting fourth season with a robust roster of over 50 dedicated athletes. Founded by former football players Chelsea (C.J.) Johnson and Staci Akula, the team has rapidly evolved into a formidable force in women's sports.
A Vision Realized
C.J. Johnson collaborated with Aventi Enterprises to create a strategic business plan that became the foundation for the Columbus Chaos. Wyn Flato joined forces with Johnson as the Executive Director after Akula stepped down, bringing shared passion and major impact on the team's community service and engagement. Their combined efforts have propelled the team into its fourth successful season, marking a significant milestone in their journey.
Women’s football represents far more than just a game—it’s a powerful platform for promoting gender equality, inspiring future generations, and uniting communities. Women’s football challenges outdated stereotypes, proving that athleticism, skill, and determination have no gender. In Central Ohio, it not only uplifts female athletes but also positions the region as a leader in championing equality and opportunity, making it a stronger, more united community.
